Coffee Recipes|Irish Coffee

Beer green is great and all, but if you want to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day like an adult (aka fancy-like), then enjoy sippin’ on this Irish Coffee recipe below.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup freshly brewed hot coffee (like a good dark roasted fair trade, organic Revolution Roast or Maya Super Dark)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 jigger Irish Whiskey of choice (jigger is not referring to the Irish Jig. It is equal to 1.5 oz or 3 tbs of whiskey)
  • Heavy cream, slightly whipped (or some pre-whipped cream if you’re feeling lazy)

Directions:

  1. Pre-warm your mug by pouring hot water into it, then emptying it
  2. Pour your hot brewed dark roasted coffee into you warm mug – about ¾ full
  3. Add the brown sugar and stir to dissolve
  4. Add your Irish whiskey and blend together
  5. Top it off with your whipped cream
  6. ENJOY and always drink responsibly
