Beer green is great and all, but if you want to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day like an adult (aka fancy-like), then enjoy sippin’ on this Irish Coffee recipe below.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup freshly brewed hot coffee (like a good dark roasted fair trade, organic Revolution Roast or Maya Super Dark)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 jigger Irish Whiskey of choice (jigger is not referring to the Irish Jig. It is equal to 1.5 oz or 3 tbs of whiskey)
- Heavy cream, slightly whipped (or some pre-whipped cream if you’re feeling lazy)
Directions:
- Pre-warm your mug by pouring hot water into it, then emptying it
- Pour your hot brewed dark roasted coffee into you warm mug – about ¾ full
- Add the brown sugar and stir to dissolve
- Add your Irish whiskey and blend together
- Top it off with your whipped cream
